Wiring harness routing & packaging Rules Week 3 Challenge
Q1. Download following cad data & define it as Electrical support using Electrical Part design Workbench. Define all the necessary properties.
Procedure:
- The given clip was downloaded and opened as a part file
- .I have to define two points that will be used as entry and exit points
- Then a plane has to be defined at the points.
- A base plane has to be defined at a distance of 2 to 3 mm from the clip.
- again we define the exit point at the first definition as the entry point.
hence I have two entry and two exit points.

Q2. Download following Back shell cad data & define it as Electrical back shell using Electrical Part design Workbench. Define all the necessary properties.
Procedure:
- The backshell data was downloaded from the website.
- We define the points in the part workbench.
- An Axis system with the correct axis orientation is placed at the backshell connection point.
- The points have to be defined as the backshell connection and bundle connection points.

Process:
- Switch to Electrical part design
- Select Define protection Part
- Click on part (on file name in specification tree)
- Provide given parameters and bend radius as '1.5 x Outer Dia'.
Catalogue Cretation:
- new part - catalogue document - add family - give name - type - select Conduit - save.
- Open part to add catalogue - store device command - select catalogue - family - Slit_cot_tube - ok
Procedure:
- we define the cot tubes in the electrical part workbench.
- the inner dia & thickness are given as the inputs.
- a catalog was created for the cot tubes.
- all the cot tubes were saved in the catalog.
