Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 7 Challenge

In Part Design and Electrical Part Design workbench, every connector is electrically described. In the Electrical Harness Assembly workbench, bundle routing is carried out using a sketch to follow the needed layout. The bundle segments are covered with COT tubes for protection.

Creating a new product in electrical harness flattening workbench for the flattening process.

Selecting an electrically defined geometrical bundle assembly for flattening.

Selecting the active plane for the harness flattening and selecting all the branches of the harness assembly.

Selecting the front view of the electrical harness flattening for drawing.

Updating the front view drawing parameters to get a proper drawing for the electrical harness flattening.

The bundle section is represented by a single line in the drawing prepared for the harness flattening, and the protective covering is represented by a double line in accordance with the flattening specifications.

*CONCLUSION-The Week 4 Challenge harness assembly is flattened as per given guidelines.
