Challenge

Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 5 & 6 Challenge

Harness A:

Given Input:

Connector-6

Defined electrically by defining connector, Bundle connection point and Connector connection point.

Connector-7

Defined electrically by defining connector, Bundle connection point and Connector connection point.

Connector-8

Defined electrically by defining connector, Bundle connection point and Connector connection point.

Connector-9

Defined electrically by defining connector, Bundle connection point and Connector connection point.

Connector-10

Defined electrically by defining connector, Bundle connection point and Connector connection point.

Connectors are routed using the Wiring harness Assembly.

i. Checking the bundle Continuity:

condition- True

All the Branches routed are in the connectivity

ii. Adding annotations to all the connectors:

iii. Check for the bundle warning:

Bundle warning appears due to the change in the position and orientation of the connector and the bend radius in the branchs. This can be resolved by positioning the connector w.r.t to the position of branch point and check the tangency contition while routing.

iv. Conversion of CATPRODUCT into the CATPART

Harness B:

Given Input

Connector-1

Defined electrically by defining connector, Bundle connection point and Connector connection point.

Connector-2

Defined electrically by defining connector, Bundle connection point and Connector connection point.

Connector-3

Defined electrically by defining connector, Bundle connection point and Connector connection point.

Connector-4

Defined electrically by defining connector, Bundle connection point and Connector connection point.

Connector-5

Defined electrically by defining connector, Bundle connection point and Connector connection point.
