Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 2 Challenge
Aim
To download the following connectors & Connector clip cad data and define it as Electrical Connector using Electrical Part design Workbenchand to define all the necessary properties to Connectors & Clip.

the above steps is to be follwed to define the component as the electrical component in electrical part workbench
Component 1
The component 1 is identified as the DT06-08SA which is the female connector has 8 terminal points
the connector is downloaded and the connector the connector connection points and bundle entry points are deffined
The connector connection point is to have axis system where the X axis is allined as parallect connection mechanism and Y axis is allined parallel to the connection entry point and Z axis is allined to the face of the connector
By entering into Electrical part workbench the conponent is to be defined as the connector
after defined as the connector the electrical properties are defined the bundle connection points
and the connector connection points are defined as followes
since this connector has no extension for mounting clip connection so we cannot able to define its mouinting point definition
Component 2
The component is identified as the TYCO 174357 which is the female connector has 4 terminal points
the connector is downloaded and the connector the connector connection points and bundle entry points are deffined
The connector connection point is to have axis system where the X axis is allined as parallect connection mechanism and Y axis is allined parallel to the connection entry point and Z axis is allined to the face of the connector
Since the connector has the extension for the Mounting clip the points are create at the mounting clip face meeting area and the axis systen is provied as similar to the axis provided to the connector
By entering into Electrical part workbench the conponent is to be defined as the connector
after defined as the connector the electrical properties are defined the bundle connection points
and the connector connection points are defined as followes
the mounting clip connection points are defined as the cavity connection points
Component 3
The component is identified as the TYCO 85229-1 mounting clip
Since its a mounting clip the points are created at the edge of the connector mating area and the axis system provided at that point as similar to the axis system of the connector
the component is defines as the cavity and the cavinet connection poinets are defined
Thus the components are defined as the electrical components in Electrical part workbench
