Wiring harness design in CATIA V5 - 3D modeling Week 2 Challenge

REPORT : In this challenge, we mainly focussed on defining the given parts electrically. These parts include connectors as well as a connector mounting clip. A connector is that part which is used to connect different electrical devices inside the vehicle with each other so that all the electrical equipments inside the vehicle works properly.And electrical equipments inside a vehicle ranges from headlight of the vehicle to power windows, parking lights, braking lights etc.

A connector contains a connector mating part as well as a bundle connection part.So we need to define the central points of both the parts using command "point" and we need to define axis system on these points so that we can assemble all these parts successfully. We need to electrically define connector in the " Electrical part design" workbench. We need to use "Define Connector" option, then we need to use the commands "Define connector connection points", "Define bundle connection point" commands. Hence, we have successfully defined the connectors. And finally those connectors are added to the catalogue using the option "Store device".

For connector mounting clips, we need to use the commands "Define mounting equipments","define cavity" commands.And hence completed successfully.
