A PILLAR DESIGN:

AIM: To design A -PILLAR , from the given input mastersection and CLASS A surface.

OBJECTIVE: The main objective of the project is to create a solid body from the given class A surface and the master sections, and performs draft analysis in the various stage of design

A SURFACE which is the aesthetic surface is provided which sholud be thicken with c surface and b surface :

B SURFACE IS CREATED BY OFFSETTING TO 2.5MM ON THE DOWNWARDS TO THICKEN THE COMPONENT:

C SURFACE WHICH IS THE COMPOUND SURFACE GOING TO ATTACH WITH A SURFACE:

C AND A SURFACE Trimmed together:

A,B and C surface joined together:

thicken body:

tooling axis creation:

  • using bisecting method we can create the tooling axis .
  • creting the intersection line by using thicken body with the plane parallel to each other.
  • creting the two lines by using the two end point at both the sides .
  • the bisecting method is used to create the tooling axis in the middle of the body.

Draft analysis of A surface:

undercuts are there because small curvature is not properly drafted on a surface:

draft analysis of closed body:

these undercuts are because of curavature is not drafted in the A Surface (Aesthetic surface)

creation of b side features :

Dog house creattion:

fig point of view: master section of dog house

tooling axis creationg for dog house:

creating the dog house:

splitting the lower body 3 - 6 mm from bottom side of the thicken body:

creating side core axis for drafting analysis:

dafting of 0.5 degree with reference to the side core axis:

dog house side core axis drafting :

rib support is given in the master section:

spitting the upper body of dog house to place push pin and the other combining component:
