AIM
To make the model from the input class-A surface
INTRODUCTION
To create the model using the reference of class-A surface
The class-B surface are created by the ectraction of class-A surface
The class-c surface are created by the extraction of outer boundry of class-B surface
Use the given points in the model to create the locators and Heat stakes shoud be in class A-B-C surface
METHODOLOGY
TOOLINNG AXIS & CLASS A SURFACE DRAFT ANALYSIS
First of all analysise the given input surface to see which direction is sutiable for creting the tooling axis.
in this model we have to create the tooling axis at the center of the outer boundary of the classA surface
create a point between the grill area using point sketch tools with the point type of between option in the middle
create a line by using the point direction line type opyion with reference to the z direction
final sketched line is called as tooling axis
CLASS A DRAFT ANALYSIS
The analysis of the model shoud maintain the nominal 3 degree draft angle to the tooling axis
Draft shouls be given to the plastic component to reduce the wear and tear and improve the production quality and accuracy while ejecting the part from the mold cavity.
CLASS A B&C SURFACE
CLASS A B &C
Class A surface offset by 2.5mm
CLASS B the fill the gap through the extract the surface and extappolate the surface given the surface
CLASS C surface through to create by CLASS A surface given the sweep comment and during the draft direction
HEAT STAKES & LOCATORS
LOCATORS
During the locators started from the class B surface backside
draw the sketch in partbody and draw the line in sketch and the paded in the part body
and through the draft in all four side in .5mm and edge filet also apply in top side of the locator
and again the edgee fillet apply in all the 8 direction in value of .5mm and all partbody assamble in one partbody and apply uniontrim in locator then locator should be done and 2nd locator should be transalate throung the transalate comment
HEAT STAKES
During the heat stakes started from the class B surface backside
draw the sketch in partbody and draw the line in sketch and the paded in the part body
and the same locator operation .
