Challenge

Week 9 - Challenge 3 - Bumper

The objective of this project is to design and develop a plastic bumper component using CATIA V5, ensuring it meets industry standards for manufacturability, structural integrity, and design feasibility. The process begins with creating a tooling axis that aligns with draft angle requirements, followed by generating Class-B and Class-C surfaces to form a complete solid model. A uniform 3 mm thickness is maintained throughout the component to ensure strength and durability. Finally, a draft analysis is performed to validate the design for proper mold release and injection molding feasibility.

This project aims to strengthen my skills in surface modeling, engineering analysis, and plastic component design, reinforcing my ability to create industry-compliant, production-ready automotive components. 🚗✨
