Week 9 - Challenge 3 - Bumper
BUMPER
DRAFT ANALYSIS
THE draft analysis technique is used to analyze whether our part model created in CAD is manufacturable based on the draft condition applied.
TOOLIN AXIS
The direction in which the mold or core and cavity opens is the tooling axis.
Tooling axis is created used point & line commands by properly draft analysis according to degree of compress in free form analysis command by giving correct degree value...
STEPS FOLLOWS IN BUMPER MODEL:
1. CLASS A SURFACE: the Class A technique is used to design automobiles, high-end products like mobile phones, and aerospace craft, where the shapes must be of the highest quality. using CLASS A SURFACE we can create CLASS B SURFACE by using fews commands according to process such as Offset ,multiple extract, boundary, extrapol, trim & join....created top edge, inside edge & bottom edge...
2. After created class B surface now must create CLASS C SURFACE.It is highly required that surfaces created As a Class-A should have curvature continuity i.e. the continuity between the surfaces sharing the same boundary.steps follows in class c are boundary, sweep extrapol & trim..Thickness of model is 3mm
3.Final step is trim CLASS A,B & C together to form one closed model,Later its converted to solid model using solid close surface command... ALL THE STEPS DETAILS ARE PROVIDED IN BUMPER CATFILE
