Challenge

Week 9 - Challenge 3 - Bumper

Starting with the CLASS A Surface
- Created an Tooling Axis by the point suitable for the product
- which is arranged seperately in the Geometrical set (TOOLING AXIS).
- For the thickening of the Bumper craeted a parent Geometrical set (CONSTRUCTIONS) and created Class B geometrical set
- offsetted the bumper as of the thickness 3mm but which created many of the patches on the thre areas
- for clearing the problem divided the three areas into three geometrical sets which are UPPER EDGE,MIDDLE GRILL PART and NUMBER PLATE AREA.
- for the each plobrems I used the Multiple Extract for the seperation of broken part and Class A.
- After Seperation Used the Boundy Command for the filling of gap by using Extrapolation.
- In some cases uses Split Command for that firstly used Multiple Extract An select the edges to keep and uses the Split Command select Cutting element as the Multiple Extract and uses other side;so we seperate elements.
- now can extrapolate and and Trim to fix the Patches finally can give the Fillets.
- by using the Join tool also can seperate the elements by Sub-elements to remove option and make seperations.
- on the NUMBER PLATE AREA used the Join tool and seperated the area fully and extracted the each part except the fillets and untrimmed each parts and make extrapolated at point continuity in some area used only each edges.
- After that offsetted the Number Plate part because I extracted the each part from the Class A.
- After Claculating the Fillets VAluse(2mm on upper and side 5mm and bottom 0.5mm) Trimmed with the B surface.
- For the Preparation of CLASS C craeted the Geometrical sets which is OUTER EDGE,GRILL PART,CUTTING PART,FOG LAMP PART.
- for the Outer edge use the Boundry tool I doesnt used the single boundry and Sweep option because which makes the error while Extrapolating the two edges;so I used the Boundries in the small lengths and Sweeped with reference to Surface 90deg.
- At last connected every sweep using Join tool.
- for the Grill part used the sweep on draft direction using Toolin Axis and extrapolated the edges same used on the cutting area.
- after trimmed the all to one as CLASS C SURFACE.
- for the Final trims joined A and C class.
-After trimming the A and C join not trimming making error So taked the intersection of Class B and join.
- I noticed there many Gaps I filled by using the Boundry and EXtraplate tools After that trimmed to the Final part and closed
- Tke the Draft analysis and check the product manufacturable or not by kepting braft angle on the tooling axis and lock the surafce and checked by giving 2.9deg and check the part which turn into Green
- For Easiness Publised the Tooling axis , Surface A,B&C.
