Week 9 Challenge

 Aim:- I have to continue working on the CPU fan case mold blocks will have to create 2 sliders for the 2 undercuts present in the model. Also, create inserts in the model wherever required.

Procedure:- In the previous challenge I had created core and cavity model component, In this challenge I will continue  the same challenge to create the slider and insert for the CPU fan case.

In this model two undercut present, so I start with core block firstly transplant all the side area, so I can see undercut area.

Create a sketch and split, assign the colour so easily to differenced, add extra material to slider to alien the undercut. For slider wedge first fixing the material so alien the slider way.

Frist I added the material side of the slider to make a collar is the area where washer will be added and after that I will remove the extra material. Then subtract slider from the core block, then saving the separately slider part file.

And also same in the assembly file add new part file.

Edit core block – first remove  some material so clear the slider way and add material for the washer, the final things is left is edit the cavity block so I add some remaining area material, then remove the overlap material from slider by using combine command.

Then create 2^nd slider so that first create a sketch and use split command for separate the slide from cavity block. Add some material to the slider of the undercut.  After that separated by using split command then added into new part file.

Then create wedge and collar for slider then separate the slider body.

Edit core block – cutting according to the slider, clear the path for slider.

Edit cavity block – import slider so fill extra gap then remove with the slider.

In the end made insert. It is required where deep and narrow cut.
