Challenge

Week 8 - Challenge 3 - Switch Bezel Design

Create the Switch Bezel Plastic component through the given Class-A surface. To begin with, the tooling axis for the given Class-A Surface created meeting the requirements of the draft angle and at the endperform Draft analysis on the model.

Take the Thickness of the component to be 2.5 mm

Analysis for switch bezel fristly we extract the base surface of the component then create a point on the surface. here we using the axis system for positioning sketch, with the help of sketch create a bisecting line which is called Tooling Axis.

After that creating a axis with the help of given Class-A surface create a Class-B surface. Extrect all the surface then untrim and applied the extrepolated on the surface. trim all those surface and apply offset command for thickness of the component upto 2.5mm as per given.

By using Class-B surface with the help of offset surface create Class-C surface. and applied to sweep tool with the help of creating two boundries and tooling axis. trim with Class-B and C surface then join all surfaces.

For creating a Solid body we use closed surface which we have to created without any gap (max 0.003).

And published the Tooling Axis and Class-A surface.

Now we analyse the draft angle here we used green colour that means not more than 3 degree, red colour that means more than 0 degree and sky colour that means between 0 to 3 degree As a reference tooling axis.

But due to some error we I have used draft angle upto 2.6 degree.
