Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation (Ribs & Screw Boss) - Challenge 1

Draft analysis and tooling axis creation

after performing the feature draft analysis the walls of the doorhandle was found to be having a draft of 1° to 2°, hence the tooling axis is taken to be perpendicular to the base of the door handle.

The ribs are given a draft of .5° on both the surfaces.

The Thickness of the component being 2.5mm,the base thickness of the rib is taken as 1mm and maximum possible height being 3:1 ratio with respect to base thickness, The height is taken as 11mm.

For the screw boss considering the screw to be of M6,the diameter of the hole is taken as 5.2 mm and the outer surface diameter is taken as 5.2 mm +1.5 mm +1.5 mm thickness of the screw boss. height of the screw bass to be in the 3:1 ratio with respect to base diameter.

The final draft analyses is being performed on the part body and is found out to be optimal.
