Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation - Challenge 1

Aim

To create the rib for the Centre console coin holder considering the design rules which given.

Introduction

Design rules fo ribs

lets consider Nominal Wall thickness is T

Thickness of rib - 0.3T to 0.7T

Height of the rib - less than 5T

Space between two ribs - more thant 4T

Fillet radius of rib- T/8 or 0.25mm max

Draft angle of rib - 0.5 degree

Procedures of rib creations

Create a line in a position sketch and containt it.

by using Pad the created sketch for 5 x thickness is 10mm

Create a tritangent circle by selection the extracted curves and line.

By using measuring tool measure the distance ,height and thickness.

After drafting, measure that the top surface is greater than 0.75mm.

Now give the fillets to the edges of 0.25mm all sides.

Draft analysis

After the outer features ribs are created go to insert select analysis and click on feature draft analysis.

Select on the compass and position on the tooling axis.

Click on the body to see colour scale.

Conclusion.

The outer feature of ribs has been created and performed with draft analysis.
