Week 8 - Challenge 6 - Core & Cavity Design

DRAFT ANALYSIS AND TOOLING DIRECTION:

The draft analysis gives us a clear understanding about the draft angle needed for the component to be created and removed from the mold created.

The tooling direction lets us create the mold in the proper direction in accordance to the components feature,Thus allowing a proper axis to create the core and cavity mold.

PARTING LINE AND PARTING SURFACE

Parting line is created to highlight the boundary of the component and in creation of the core cavity of the block.Core block is created by trimming the parting surface with the class b surface,while the cavity block is created by trimming the parting surface with the class A surface.

Parting surface is the surface of the component where the component is split into two blocks-core and cavity for creating the mold of the component.
