Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Base Bracket Design

DRAFT ANALYSIS

Draft analysis is done to know whether the faces present in the model needs to be drafted in a positive or negative direction or not,so that the part which will be further processed in mould creation or press componenent dies will be easy to remove from the fixture of the process carried out.

TOOLING AXIS

Tooling axis defines the axis of the creation of the mould dies or press component dies,i.e, in which direction should be the direction of press so that the component will be made without any difficulties and would be easy to remove.

BIESCTING METHOD

• Bisecting lines were used to get the exact medium from the two sides so that maximum positive draft angle can be achieved.
• Finally by using the bisecting line option the tooling axis were created by selecting the tooling axis x direction and y direction axis.
