Week 8 - Challenge 6 - Core & Cavity Design

Plastic Parts is an important parts in todays world. Plastic parts are manufactured using injection molding.

Injection molding is the process in which hot molten plastic is injected into the mold andthere after colded and ejected.

Draft analysis

For a Plastic part to be easily ejected it need to have some draft. minum draft angl given to plastic parts is 3 degree.

Parting Line

Prting Line is line alone which Core cavity open (point were core cavity meet). Parting line.

Tooling Axis

Tooling axis is the imagenary line along which mold open and closs.

Conclusion

From the anaysis report we can concluded that the Plastic Part is perfect for Injection molding as all part is having adquit draft of at least of 3 degree and it does not have any under cut surface.
