Core & Cavity Design

Aim:-To create Core & Cavity block for switch Bezel.

Draft analysis:- Draft analysis is required to check if a part has required draft or not. The draft analysis refers to a Tool that allows us to deteermine if we can remove the part we are designing.Here I used Analysis option, change the mode into material view first and then I could perform Draft analysis regarding Tooling Axis.Here I have given Draft 2.99.

Tooling axis:-The Tooling Direction is basically the direction that the mold pulls apart.The mold is built in twoseperate pieces, basically we have a Cavity and Core side.The Core pulls apart from the cavity.

Here I have used Normal To Surface Method.

• CORE BLOCK

• CAVITY BLOCK

PARTING SURFACE:- A Parting Surface is a surface that seperates the mold block into two parts,the core & cavity or we can defined as it is the surface where the core and cavity meet when the mold is closed.

PARTING LINE:- It is the junction between component and parting surface.
