TOOLING AXIS

• Extracted a surface from the body in y-z plane
• Mark a point at the center of the surface and makes a dummy tooling axis
• Make a x-z plane on the point and intersect it with the surface and forms two line for making a bisecting line through the point (line 1)
• Make a x-y plane on the point and intersect it with the surface and consider a line having small inclination to the dummy tooling axis, then make a line through the point with an angle (4 degree) to the above considered line (line 2), the angle can be obtained by studying the surface using draft analysis
• Bisect line 1 and 2 through the point to obtain tooling axis
