Week 8 - Challenge 3 - Switch Bezel Design
Creating Tooling Axis line
Tooling axis is created to determine the direction of mold opening and closing. Draft around the different faces is provided along tooling axis.
Creating toolling line along X direction

Creating toolling line along Y direction

Creating tooling axis with respect to tooling line along X and Y direction by bisecting.

Creation of Class B and Class C surface
- it is created from Class A surface
- Surface from Class A are extracted
- The same surface are untrimed
- These surface are extropolated
- The extrapolated surface oi offset by the thickness of 2.5mm.
Creating Class C Surface
- Creating boundaries from Class A surface
- performing sweep operation at 3 degree along the tooling axis
- connecting the part with the help of trim
- The final trim is a Class C surface
Creating a final surface
By joining the Class A B C surface a final surface is created.

Draft analysis
draft is an angle provided on the face of a component with respect to tooling axis.providing draft ensure easy to remove of component from the mold cavity. Draft analysis help us to determine draft of every face of a component with respect to the tooling axis.
Steps to perfome the draft analysis
- We have to check the continuty of the surface
- We find tooling direction with the help of tooling axis
- By using draft analysis tool we put compass on the tooling axis and get the result of draft analysis.

Draft analysis Results
- The green colour represent angle of the surface with respect to tooling axis
- The blue colour represent angle between 0 and 3
- The red colour represent angle lesser than 0 degree.
