Week 8 - Challenge 3 - Coin Holder Design
COIN HOLDER DESIGN
STEP 1- TOLLING AXIS – I am created the tooling axis by using simple surface method in this I extracted the base surface and then I created a point in center of surface and then I created the axis after that I created the bisecting lines. At last I created the line using normal to surface and named it as tooling axis.
STEP 2- DRAFT ANALYSIS – I put the surface A in to the material mode then take feature draft analysis and put the compass on to the tolling axis then I select the surface A its shows green colour , the minimum draft angle 3 degree is given, if draft angle is more than 3 degree then it will shows blue colour then we have to flip the draft direction then it will be coloured in green.
STEP 3- B SURFACE – In b surface I created it by some steps is given below.
- SIDE WALLS – In this I extracted the four side walls and I utrim them and extrapolated them by point countinuity after that I trimmed them together at last I give the fillets them.
2- BASE- In this I extracted the five surfaces which highlighted in blue colour and then I untrim them and extrapolated them after that I trim them together .
3 TOP WALL- In this I extract the top wall by using multipal extract after that I extrapolated them an then offseted it by 2.5 mm.
4 INITIAL TRIM- In this I trim the offset2 with the edge fillet4 after that I trimmed it with offset3.
5 OUTER FLANGE- In this I extract the outer surface of coin holder by using multiple extract and then I extrapolated them after that I offset it and trim together. At last I gave the fillets and got the b surface.
STEP 3- C SURFACE- In this I extracted the outer surface and boundray of coin holder and then create the sweep by using line type and sub type with reference surface and give the guide curve to multipalee extract and reference surface to multiple extract 5 at last I give the angle 90 and length 4 mmwhich is more than the surface thickness. Now i got the c surface.
STEP 5 – CLOSE SURFACE – when I completed the surface part I go for close surface but its not closing.
