WEEK 8 - CHALLENGE 3 - COIN HOLDER DESIGN

AIM : To create the Coin Holder Plastic component through the given Class-A surface. To begin with, the tooling axis for the given Class-A Surface should be created meeting the requirements of the draft angle and at the end perform the Draft analysis on the model.

Take the Thickness of the component to be 2.5 mm.

GIVEN CLASS A SURFACE :

IMPORTANT NOTE :

• Tree Structure
• Ensure Proper Tree Structure
• Geometrical sets should have a proper name based on the sketches present inside of it
• All the sketches should be created under the Geometrical set
• Use the Close Surface feature to make a solid body from the surface.
• Publications: Use the publication option and publish the below
  • Tooling Axis
  • Class A, B, and C surface.

TOOLING AXIS CREATION :

Creation of Tooling Axis :

• Given class A surface extract the below base surface and create a point on the surface, next make axis system by using the point on surface.
• Next male the tooling axis line to the perpendicular to the surface or parallel to the walls of the surfaces.
• That is tooling axis used for the proper assembly for the tools or molds.

DRAFT ANALYSIS OF SOLID CATPART:

Solid body cat part draft angle is maximum is 3.1 mm and minimum 0 degrees, these draft angle need to maintain for proper assembly direction.
