Week 8 - Challenge 2 - Base Bracket Design

Developing the Base Bracket and Finding the Draft Analysis

Objective– To Develop the Base Bracket by using Class A Surface And Finding the draft Analysis with Minimum 3 Degree Draft Angle.

First We find out which Axis is better for Mold the Product, This Base Bracket Is Simple Developed By Z- Axis , We taken that Z- Axis Is a Dummy Tooling Axis.

Further Found The Tooling Axis by using Side Surfaces with Bisector Command And That Bisector line is called as the Tooling Axis.

Creation Of tooling Axis-

Hear taken the YZ plane and the point creating a New plane, Using Intersection Command to Create the Intersect Line On New Plane.

To creating the Line Using Side Surface Points,

by Using that lines Creating The Bisector Line.Bisector Line is Called As a Tooling Axis.

Why we are Using the Bisector line As tooling Axis?

Surface angles Of the Part are either positive or Negative so we are taken the Intermediate line (Bisector Line).

Draft analysis :-

By using the Tooling Axis To find out the Draft analysis.

Go to Material Mode :-

Go for draft analysis :-

Drag axis bar to the tooling direction of part

Check for draft and make parting line as per analysis.
