Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Draft Analysis on a Fan Cover

Draft Analysis Report:-

Firslty we check connectivity between two surfaces and ensure that there is no gap between joining og each surface by using surface feature tool such as;

• Join Command
• Boundary
• Dissemble mode in domain only then generate the curve.

1. To find out the tooling axis

• Insert the gemetric set (Class A surface).
• Insert point.
• Insert Axis System.
• Intersect after selecting ZX plane with the component surfaceby using intersect command.

2. To Create Tooling Axis Line In Both Direction

• Insert Point to point Line (Dummy Tooling Axis)
• Insert Point to Point Line along with the incline surface.
• Insert Point to Point Line Along with opposite side inclined surface.
• Insert Bisect line depends upon the earlier both line.

3. To create final Tooling Axis: Insert bisect line depends upon the both tooling axis x direction and tooling axis y direction.

4. Go for publish: Select fan cover surface component and tooling axis simultaneously then go for publishment tool.

5.To find the draft analysis

1. go for material seletion in customize view parameter.
2. go for draft tool in view toolbar: View-Analysis-Feature Draft Analysis.
3. pick the direction and select the correction plane through the compass & place it somewhere aprproximately on the surface top corner.
4. click on the lock command for fixing the compass and it move with surface component.
5. for measuring the draft click on the analyse under the running point and move the pointer on component surface.
