Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Base Bracket Design
Aim:
To create the Base Bracket Plastic component through the given Class-A surface. To begin with, the tooling axis for the given Class-A Surface should be created meeting the requirements of the draft angle and at the end perform the Draft analysis on the model
There are following things are as follows:
- Tooling axis
- Draft analysis
- Class-B suriace
- Class-C surface
- Making a solid model from surface
FOR TOOLING AXIS:
- First ensure the class-A surface is properly joined and has no discontinuity on it.
- For this we can use boundary command or join command.
- Analyze the model manually or visually to see which direction is most suitable for tooling axis.
As in 3D view we can see 2 holes and a flat surface, we can directly take the tooling axis perpendicular to that. But we have to Analysis from all the view in X view we can only see one hole so we should not go for that take another view which is Y it only shows side plane so this also not should we have to take another side which is Z in that we can see all the portion
Class A surface:

Tooling Axis:

Bisecting line:

Class b surface:

Extrapolate and trimmed:

Fillet:

Class C surface:

Final analysis class A,B & C :

Closed Surface:

Solid model (Isometric, Front, Side, and Top View):

Draft analysis:
Go to insert< analysis< feature draft analysis.then do Align the tooling axis with the compass. Click on the surface and see that the surface is within the permissible limit of the draft values.
This is most important thing The surface should be green and in the column proper value (3deg) should be inserted
