Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Base Bracket Design
Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Base Bracket Design
OBJECTIVE
To create base bracket plastic component from the given class- A surface.
To create the tooling axis for the plastic component
To perform draft analysis over the plastic component.
CLASS- A SURAFCE
THIS WAS THE GIVEN SURFACE

class - B surface
A Class B surface is something that is not always visible i.e. the underside of a fascia that you would have to bend down to see. This is also called a engineering surface.
For ceating the B surface first we have to find which direction the tooling part then make a dummy axis to positioning the datum axis.

Then with the support of the two lines we have to create tthe tooling axis .

3- Extract the faces which neccesary for working and extrapol the surfaces for trimming and get the desired shape.

This the shape we need

And then we have to extract the another two faces from the given surface are these two:-

This is the final surface which we called B surface

for making c surface we need a boundary to swept and then we create the c surface

C surface:- This the connecting surface of class-A and class-B surfaces

Join all the swept parts and using trim option

This is the final result

closed surface

DRAFT ANALYSIS
1.Draft analysis from the selected hole feature as tooling axis location

2.Drfat analysis from the CG point of the plastic component
CONCLUSION
Hence the plastic component is created from class-A surface and draft analysis is done.
