Week 7- Meshing of Backdoor Challenge
AIM:
Target Element size - 5 Units
| S.N | Quality Criteria | Value |
| 1 | Aspect Ratio | 5 |
| 2 | Skewness | 45 |
| 3 | Warping | 15 |
| 4 | Taper | 0.5 |
| 5 | Min. Length | 3 Units |
| 6 | Max. Length | 7 Units |
| 7 | Min angle Quad | 45 |
| 8 | Max angle Quad | 135 |
| 9 | Min angle Tria | 30 |
| 10 | Max angle Tria | 110 |
| 10 | Tria % | 15 |
PROCEDURE:
Download the given model and the Geometry of the backdoor has been imported in the hyper mesh window. Geometry consists of three components.

After that topology visualization was done, to check for any error which needed to be removed from the geometry.
Geometry Cleanup
As there are some open edges, we need to perform geometrical cleanup, before mid-surfacing and meshing, operations it will cause problems during analysis.

After this, we can separate this into different components to work on the components separately.
This can be done by using tool>mask

I have separated them as follows
Outer_1

Outer_2

Inner_1

Inner-2

Then generate the mid surface for them separately and work on them

Mesh the components separately.
I have worked on the half component and used tool>reflect to reflect them on the other side as it is the similar component or we can say it is a symmetrical component.
As follows

Followed the same process with all the components.
Complete meshed component

Conclusion
- The given challenge has been successfully performed, for the given mesh criteria.
- Mesh cleanup has been successfully performed on the car backdoor model.
