Week 7-Long Piston With Cam
LONG PISTON WITH CAM USING ANSYS WORKBENCH
objective: to perform a transient analysis on a piston and cam mechanism.
run the analysis for the total of 3 cases.
case1 : frictionless contact
case2: frictional with 0.1 as the frictional contact.
case3: frictional with 0.2 as the frictional contact.

conclusion:
stress keeps om increasing as we increase the frictional coefficient values. as the friction coefficient value increases it resists more the movement of the follower and the stress develops at the stem of the follower. also the strain increases due to same reasons.
directional and total deformation is same in all the cases.
