Week 7 Challenge - Assembly Workbench
Assembly Workbench
Aim: Create a 3 D parts from the given 2D drawings and making an assembly of it then create 2D Drawing of the created 3D parts in a drafting workbench.
Objective:
To create the various part models from the 2D Drawings.
To assemble the part models into a single component.
To create the 2D Drawings of the components which were created.
Quick Return motion Mechanism:
Introduction:
A Quick return mechanism is an apparatus that converts circular motion into reciprocating motion in presses and shaping machines, which are utilized to the shape stocks of the metals into flat surfaces.
This mechanism is mostly used in shaping machines and slotting machines and in rotary internal combustion engines. The word quick return indicates that the returning stoke is faster than forward stoke which help the tool to retrieve back faster after doing a particular job.
Quick return mechanism feature different input durations for their working and return stokes. The time ratio of the change in input displacement during the working stroke to its change during the return stroke.

CV Joint
Introduction:
A constant velocity joint (also called as CV Joint) is a mechanical coupling which allows the shafts to rotate freely (without an appreciable increase in friction or backlash) as the angle between the two shaft moves within a certain range.
A very common use of CV joint is in front wheel drive vehicles ,where they are used to transfer the engines power to the wheels, even when the angle of driveshaft varies due to operation of the suspension.
