Week 6-Meshing of Hood Challenge

Aim: To mesh the given car hood in accordance with the given quality criteria.

Procedure:

1. Import the given model.

2. Change the view to "By Topo" and the element colour mode to "By element quality".

3. Delete the solid. Only the surface is retained.

4. Now generate the mid-surface for each components using the auto-midsurface command.

5. Perform the autocleanup by setting up the parameters as per the prescribed values. Remove unnecessary lines using the togle option.

6. Mesh the components with element size 5, using the automesh option under 2D.

7. To enhance the appearence of the mesh use various options under quick edit then options like position, project under the tools option are also used.

8. Perform quality index check using appropriate cleanup tools under the quality index option.

Conclusiom: The hood mid-surface has been successfully extracted, meshed and checked for quality as per the specifications.
