Week 6 - Creating connection for Rear door

aim: to do connections in rear door handle =.

procedure: 

1) open the model in ansa.

2) create the property id for various components of door.

3) go to nastran deck select rbe 2 , apply rbe 2 to all the parts where bolts are needed, like hinge, hinge mounts , brackects .

4) for the hinge allow the rotation in z axis. and create two node rbe 2. 

5) create seam line weld along the support member , to create one create the curve along the edge of support. convert the curve into seam line . in connection manager select the respective prats the select overlapping shell in 45 deg weld config. give search distance and hit apply and realize.

6) create spot weld where required, to create one make a point on fe using points cog. convert the point to spot weld point. in connection manager select rbe3 hexa rbe3 , in the rbe 3 hexa rbe 3 constrain the all the rotation. hit apply and realize. make sure that sport weld are not near edges or feature of connecting parts.

7) create c bush along window. to create one , make a 4 curve along the complete window and quarter window. translate the bottom curves by some disatance . convert all the curves to spot weld line . now, in the connection manager assign the spacing 5 mm and select parts and select c bush . give search distance accordingly. hit apply and realize.

8) create mass along the handle using con mass .
