Week 6- Challenge
OBJECTIVE:-
To mesh the given hood component part seperately with proper midsurface and assign quality criteria to the component.
PROCEDURE:-
Hood consist of component i.e
A.Inner extract body
B.Outer extract body
C.Hinge reinforcement extract body 1
D.Hinge reinforcement extract body 2
E.latch reinforcement extract body
1. Starting with anyone of the body component from the hood i.e extracting from hood .
2. Deleting solid surface from the body of the component to get an idea of the model to an have clear aspect of the geometry.
3. Before doing midsurface to the component make sure to do geometry clean up i.e essential requirement of doing toggling the unneccessary edge to get clear mesh flow.
4. Getting geometry clean up to the component can get to an exact geomety shape and size to form proper mesh flow to the component can remove irregularities from the surface.
5. After completing geometry clean up extracting the midsurface of the body.
6. To represent the geometry appropriately it is necessary to extract mid surface & then mesh on the mid surface.
7. Meshing is carried on the 2-d model use the automesh option to carry out mesh.
8. To get proper mesh type is mixed and element size is 5 to get proper flow to the body.
9. Assigning the qaulity criteria from the header bar of the preference table to the criteria setting.
10. After completing the entire mesh check the element quality using the tool from the check element panel.
11. Whiling checking element certain quality may violate criteria of the assigning parameters to the component.
12. To get rid from violating the quality criteria use the 2d menu of quality index to resolve quality parmeter of the element
13. By using the quality index tool we can eliminate the violating the quality arising while meshing.
RESULT:-
By assign the quality criteria to the component can maintain the mesh flow to the body of hood.
