Week 6- Challenge

Objective: The given hood step is asked to mesh according to the required mesh quality criteria.

CAD model:

Procedure:

i) Import the provided step into the workspace by file -> import -> geometry -> step, and select the downloaded file from the bin.

ii) Select the individual model and right click on it to isolate it. after isolating the model from other ones, change the view to by topo.

iii) After topological cleaning, extract the midsurface of each model and inner and outer hoods seperately too.

iv) Mesh the individual models by 2D meshing and check the quality criteria and element checkup for properly meshing the models.

v) Use other surface edit tools or quick edit tools for enchacing the mesh over the surface of model.

Result: The required meshing over the hood is done according to the given quality criteria.
