OBJECTIVE:

Creating mesh for a given component in given dimension and satisfying quality criteria.

PROCEDURE:.

• Create a mid-surface for each component.
• Model cleanup is done by auto clean up and some edges manually toggled.

Pic 1:

• Create Auto-mesh for each surface so that mesh quality can be easily changed/modified.

Pic 2:

• Check Quality criteria with given values.

Pic 3:

• If the quality of the mesh is not under limits, then re-mesh and change parameters while its satisfied given quality. By using options as Element optimize, Place nodes, etc,.

QUALITY CRITERIA:

1. Warpage: It defines the perfect fit of a plane with respect to mesh.
2. Aspect ratio: Ratio between shortest length and longest length.
3. Skew: Angle formed by 2 lines drawn to the midpoint of the quadrilateral.
4. Length: It's maximum and minimum deviation of elements length.
5. Quad angle: deviation of Minimum and Maximum angle Quadrilateral elements.
6. Trias angle: Deviation between Minimum and Maximum angle for triangular elements.

The final mesh has checked for quality on various aspects as discussed above and satisfied model saved and included with this document.
