Week 6

Objective :- The different types of connection techniques along with different 1D elements are should be done on the rear door .

given rear door mesh :-

procedure:- we have to give the necessary connections where ever it required .

1. Create a RBE2 elements with many at the holes .

2. RBE2 elements are present in the nastran panel { NASTRAN -> ELEMENTS -> RBE2 -> MANY NODES} .

3. Create a hinge at the door opening area .

3. RBE2 with many nodes should be created at the two holes .

4. These RBE2 clusters should be connected with a two node RBE2. {NASTRAN -> ELEMENTS -> RBE2 -> TWO NODES}.

5. BOLT CREATION :- we have to create a COG point for a hole . These COG point should be converted in to a bolt representation by using convert . { TOPO -> POINTS -> ON COG -> EDGES }. {CONVERT -> 3D POINT -> BOLT }.

6. Go to CONNECTION MANAGER click on the bolt asign the PID'S and search distace and remaining things .

7. we have to assign RBE3-CBUSH-RBE3 for the mirror strip areas .

Results :- we have to create a all the necessary connection for the rear door as mentioned above .
