Week 5 Challenge : Surface wrap on Automotive Assembly

Aim/Objective: Check the geometrical error and delete surfaces which are unwanted for Surface, Merge all 3 models and perform surface wrap.

Procedure:

1. Import the model to ANSA.
2. switch to the TOPO module.
3. check and solve the errors. Delete unnecessary rings in the model
4. Fill the unnecessary Hole.
5. repeate the procedure for all the three parts.
6. Merge all the three components by merge option in File.
7. Switch to Surface mesh.
8. Delete the unwanted PIDs by compress option.
9. select the wrap in elements. and select the contstant wrap.
10. Double click on the Status
11. Double click on the Parameter. Define the target length(3mm). Rename and ok.
12. Double click on the contents. Select the all the PIDs and move to Octree Scenario. Then ok
13. Click on the Run.
14. After the Run, Mesh is created. Check the mesh.

Learning Outcomes:

1. Merging the components
2. create the Surface wraping
3. compress the PIDs

Result & Conclusion:

surface wrapped for the given model with respect to Target length 3mm after merge the all the components into one and complted model attached to this report
