For a Battery pack of an electric vehicle (a car), weighing 1500 kg
the maximum voltage represents the amount of power it can produce
The electrical performance can be increased by using higher current or voltage rates. The use of higher current rates to improve performance is determined by the system design, because higher current flows require the internal and external pin contacts (power modules and connectors) and cabling to have greater cross-sectional areas.Since the current level cannot be increased above 250 A due to physical limitations, improved performance in passenger/commercial vehicles can be achieved with higher voltage rates in electric vehicles.
maximum power the 350V battery pack can produce with a 250A current during its use is 350*250 = 87.5 KW
This power is good enough for a 1500 kg EV which can reach 150 Kmph and also have a decent range.
maximum power the 100V battery pack can produce with a 250A current during its use is 100*250 = 25 KW
This power is barely enough for a 1500 kg EV, it may only reach 80 Kmph and has a very low range.
so in electric vehicles higher battery voltage can be up to 350 V and lowest can be 100 V.
