1.
A mapped model is a static model where we input a map data of a motor or engine to run a simulation. Runs faster and works according to the data given in lookup table. used when detailed motor level parameters are unknown and fast system level simulation is needed. for an engine Model uses a set of steady-state lookup tables to characterize engine performance. the tables provide overall engine characteristics, including actual torque, fuel flow rate, BSFC, and engine-out exhaust emissions.
a dynamic model represnts actual companents and is used only when we have detailed component level data. for an IC engine Model decomposes the engine behavior into engine characteristics that are separated into lower-level components. By combining components in this way, the models capture the dynamiceffects.
to change the model type from EVreferenceapplication go to passenger car model and then go to electric plant block and then go to motor block there cahange can be made.
2.
For an electric vehcile, the model takes total electrical energy consumed per time step duration (0.1 sec) and converts the energy in to gasoline equivalent. With average distance traveled in miles and total gasoline energy converted to gallons of energy MPG can be calculated for the cycle.

3.
WOT conditions
START TIME 1 sec
nominal speed 50 m/sec
time to start decceleration 60 sec
WOT simulation time 100 sec
CASE 1 gradient 0 and wind speed 0
hybrid vehicle took 44 sec to reach 50 m/sec (112mph)
CASE 2 gradient 3 and wind speed 3
in this case vehcile was not able to reach 50 m/s (112 mph) in 60 sec, max speed was only 96mph
4.
wot is performed with 0 gradient and 0 wind speed on ev. it took 55 sec to reach 50 m/sec. where as hybrid case took 44 sec in the above question 3 with same conditions.
