Week 5 Challenge
Question 1:
False : Battery alone is not a better choice, its always smart to include UC's for the transient power demand support.
considering the rapid accleration the chance of motor operating at higher power rating is possible, the battery alone can't support this transient power requirement, UC's got a nature of high power density(meaning can discharge at very rapid phase), this property can be used when there is sudden requrieemnt of high power. all these sudden braking can also be regenrated and stored in UC.
Question 2:
Data collected and averaged...
Li ion : good energy density and indiviual cell voltage
NMH, NC , Lead acid : less energy density compared with Li
UC : less energy density but good power density and voltage it can accumulate and supply.
Question 3 :
nicke cadmium : Has good power density (meaning it can discharge good amount of power to the system) compared with all.
UC's : got good power density compared with all others except nickel cadmium.
Question 4:
True, this negative electrode (Grapite anode) is going to accumulate the Li atom during charging and discharge the same during when its connected to a load.
