Challenge

Week - 5 - 2D meshing for Plastic components

in this challenge i have learned to extract midsurface on part with different and varying thickness.

after opening the model in ansa perform cons resolution and then geometry clean up.

Use of boolean operation like or, and , not , inot, lock , neighbour 1st, neighbour all while selecting the regions for MS extraction

Then extract mid surface using option middle, middle multi, offset, curves middle depending on the geometry. use of extend, intersect command to join the Mid surface.

Use of Faces New command to fill the space in surface.

Cons to curve and Curves Create and then use Faces new to create new compete surface. and delete the surace with ribs.

Use of copy function for copying fins and rotating around cog.

Once mid surface is generated for complete part set PID as per the thickness of the component.

And then meshing the midsurface using best/fine mesh option. and reconstrucing using reconstruct, smooth, split, cut, join, move commands.
