The various applications of Power converters in an Electric vehicle are:-

i)Charger:-

As we give AC supply to the on board charging point then it goes to the Charger.

It converts the AC supply to the DC supply.

So it acts as a rectifier.Also used DC-DC converter to change value of DC supplly

Now this DC supply given to the EV battery to charge it.

ii)Auxillary Loads:-

It means car having the different loads such as music system,AC,Head lights,Dimmer.

These loads are supply by DC power.

Through the DC-DC converter.

Now the converter used according to the rating.

iii)For Induction Motor:-

As we know that the Induction Motor work on the AC supply.

Now this is done by using DC-AC converter.

This is called as a inverter.
