Week-4 Challenge WOT Condition Part-2

Q1

  1. The Mapped Motor/Engine/Generator block operates in torque-control mode, generating an output torque that follows the torque reference demand. It is ideal for fast system-level simulations when detailed motor parameters are unknown. However, it assumes that speed fluctuations due to mechanical load do not impact motor torque tracking. This can be used in controlling the engineering phase.
  2. The behaviour of the motor is analysed in the dynamic model, which breaks it down into its characteristics. These characteristics are further divided into lower-level components, enabling the model to capture the dynamic effects accurately. This can be used during the designing phase.

Q2.

Factors

  • Vehicle Speed
  • Battery Power

Formula

  • Battery power is converted from W to US GAL
  • Distance is derived from vehicle speed and converted from M to Miles.
  • US MPG is then formed by diving miles by US GAL.

Q3

  • Wind velocity is changed to 10 m/s
  • Gradient is changed to 10%
  • SOC% dropped 6%
  • Battery Current drained for 15 sec longer
  • US MPG dropped to 5 times.

Q4

Battery SOC:

  • EV:75 TO 71%
  • HEV: 60-53%

Motor RPM

  • HEVV(12000) spins at a higher RPM than EV (6000)

Battery Current

  • EV has a 50 A lower peak discharge current compared to HEV

US MPG

  • EV has 200MPGe as peak and HEV has 45MPGe as peak
