Week 4 Challenge

1) The Tooling Direction is basically the direction that the mold pulls apart. The mold is built in two separate pieces, basically. You have a Cavity side and you have the Core side. The Core pulls apart from the Cavity and that's the Dyeline or the Tooling Direction.

3) Parting line

A parting line, in industrial casting of molds, is the border line in which draft angles change direction. One can check the parting line in the mould or product which divides the two half, i.e; the core and the cavity of a molded part.

4) Create B surface with 4 mm thickness

B surface has be created with 4mm thickness.

5) Creating a parting line for thickened Lens

Design methodology / approach

* part has been created by using extrating tool.

* make a point on the extracted part.

* create a new axis on the point.

* create a new line perpendicular to the zy axis.

* drag and drop the direction flag symbol on the line.

* lock the direction flag on the axis.

conclusion

by using this method we can create a part and parting line.
