Week 4 - 2D Meshing for Sheet Metal

Aim:To perform midsurface and mesh for sheet metal

procedure:1) Extract the geomentry from the skilllync website then open then geometry from ANSA

2) Then perform the geometry checkup.

3)Then extract the mid surface by skin ( it will update the own thickness based on the orginal thickness of the components)

4) after extracting set the PID for each midsurface components.

assemble all the midsurfcae componets

after completion of midsurface click on the classic mesh

click on the perimeter length 5 and then give quality certira

then perform best mesh for every components

In order to decrease off sects and tria elements we use elements bar click on split,swap and shell mesh bar reconstruction and parameter click on numbering and frequntly used cut to geometry clean up present in the marcros bar

conclusion:finally click on hidden to know the quality perameter matching
