Week - 4 - 2D meshing for Plastic components

Ans 1.The total file is uploaded please check it in lock view.

Ans.2.

Aim-2D meshing of plasctic components

Procedure-The steps are as follows.

  1. The model is downloaded for the link given .
  2. The geometry cleanup is done and all errors are cleaned.
  3. After that The midsurfacing of the upper ring is done.
  4. Then for the middle part we have to take weld spot to mesure the thickness od the part to take the offset for the midsurfacing of the part and we have to take both the rings the upper one and the middle one using new curves we will creat new curve arround the rings and we will join the rings for both upper and middle and for joining them we will go to faces and then new and we will creat new face which by selecting the cons and the adjoining hotpoint.
  5. Then we will creat the inner fins and measuring the thickness of the fins we will take the offset of that part and then we will use extend to join the fins to the above and side face.
  6. Then we will take the threads and we will take curve middle and then projet that in the mddle surface to of the body to get a projection and then we have to offset that to get the midsurface of the threads.
  7. Similar patter we have to follow for creating the lower part of the model and then new face to join that nd similar steps to creaats the innner teeths and the outer fins and for the most inner threds.
  8. At last we will take the measurement of the last base and then we will offset that to get the midsurface.
  9. Then we will go to classic mesh and We will put each quaity criteria nd the average lenght before meshing.
  10. Then we will use best mesh of each part to get the messhed model.

Conclusion-We conclude that the final model is completely meshed and we get the result we want.

  1. After that the geometry cleanup is done and the errors are cleaned.
