Week - 4 - 2D meshing for Plastic components
AIM

Plastic bottle cap model should be meshed properly according to given quality criteria, also model should be geometry cleaned and generate mid surface with proper mid surface technique.
OBJECTIVE

- Check for geometrical errors
- Generate mid surface
- Mesh the model according to quality criteria
GEOMETRY CLEANUP

Geometry errors has been cleaned.
Some modification has been done on the geometry to pass the quality issue i.e. inner fins of the upper cylinder some extra components is added.
MIDSURFACE

Middle surface of all the different components is generated with different suitable option i.e OFFSET, MIDDLE(CURVE), MIDDLE(FACES).
ASSIGNING PID MID AND THICKNESS

Property ID and thickness has been assigned to the middle surface of different components.
MIDDLE SURFACE CHECKING

Middle surface has been checked by avoiding triple cons and sharp edges and cracks.
MESH GENERATION

Before meshing MESH, PARAMETER and QUALITY CRITERIA is assigned Mesh flow is started from the middle cylinder and then went outwards in all direction.
Mesh is applied and after many improvements the proper flow of mesh is generated.
CONCLUSION

Hence the proper mesh flow is done.
