Week 4-1D Element Creation Challenge

OBJECTIVE:

To create mid surface for the given bracket and assign suitable mesh and 1d connection elements.

PROCEDURE:

1) Mid surface is created by using midsurface option in geometry option.

2) Washer split is given from quick edit for propper connection of the rigid elements.

3) Meshing is done usinng proper element size using automesh option.

4) Proper rigid connection is given for making the 1D elements.

5) 1D beams are created using proper crossection.

6) Elements are created and crossction is assigned.

CONCLUSION:

• Extracted the mid-surface for the given component and Created a Mesh on the mid-surface
• Deployed suitable 1D Element ( RBE2, RBE3, ROD, BAR, BEAM , MASS, SPRING etc ) to the respective places.
• Assigned Cross-section and property to the 1D elements
• Created Solid representations of 1D Element.
