Week 4-1D Element Creation Challenge

REPORT :

OBJECTIVE :

meshing and creating the 1D elements with given dimensions and thickness(parsmeters)

PROCEDURE :

1. importing the give model into the software

2. creating midsurface for the two components seperately by creating the new component

3. meshing the given model with given size of 5 as 2D meshing

4. creating RBE2 AND RBE3 link in the marked a,b,c places and connecting them

5. creating 1D bar , rod , beam in their respective places

6. creating appropriate materials and property for the three elements with given cross section and other parameters such as dimension and thickness

7. converting the 1D to 3D elements by assigning the property

8. doing the same to the D and E points and giving the magnitude (mass) to it

9.creating the spring element at the end of the two components to connect them

10. the final model is ready
