Week-3 Challenge: ADVISOR Tool
The vehicle need to travel 45km, but on travelling upto 25.7miles(around 41km) itself the EV range is exceeded as shown in the warnings. From the above output we can observe that, the SOC crosses 0.5 at the mid of second cycle, and completely drain at third cycle end, it is indicated as a warning message too. Since it is completely electric, there is no emission. The vehicle is gradable at 55mph.
In the temperature curve, it is clear that, the battery temperature rises continuously on its discharge, here the lead acid battery is taken for observation. ESS output is decreased on the third cycle of the system as shown above.
In the above figure, the power loss occurring is observed and found it is a bit consistent. The Torque and speed is observed, and found the vehicle is sustaining the variations.
- on using Lithium-ion battery
The temperature is rising too, but the power supplied level is decreased after two cycles
On using Nickel Cadmium battery
It is having the similar case as that of lead acid battery.
On using NiZn battery the temperature rise is as same as that of lead acid battery, but the power delivered got reduced like lithium ion battery as shown above.
- Gradeability test with PRIUS_Jpn_defaults
With all system enabled with a grade of 5, the analysis as shown below
With energy storage disabled and fuel converter disabled there is not much variations
With grade=10, there is not much change as shown below
With grade =50, all values remains the same as shown below
In all cases the values remains the near same.
