Week-3 Challenge: ADVISOR Tool
Que 1)
steps:
1) open the advisor tool and click on the start button.
2)search '' EV_DEFAULT_IN'' file and open the file.
3)Now change the cargo mass to 500 kg.
4)click countinue to open simulation parameter.

5)search for ''CYC_FTD'' file from drive cycle list in advisor tool and open the file and run it.

6) run condition go to the result or output window.

Rusult Condition
For number of cycle equils to 1,and vehical travel distance is 17.8km.
Fuel consumption=0
gasoline equivalent=2
distance=17.8km
For number of cycle equils to 2,and vehical travel distance is 35.6km.
Fuel consumption=0
gasoline equivalent=2.1
distance=35.5km
For number of cycle equils to 3,and vehical travel distance is 48.2km.
Fuel consumption=0
gasoline equivalent=2.1
distance=48.2km
If cargo mass is 500kg and all other condition defaults,can the vehical travells for 45 km with FTP drive cycle?
For number of cycle equils to 1,and vehical travel distance is 17.8km.
Fuel consumption=0
gasoline equivalent=2.4
distance=17.8km
For number of cycle equils to 2,and vehical travel distance is 35.6km.
Fuel consumption=0
gasoline equivalent=2.5
distance=35.6km
For number of cycle equils to 3,and vehical travel distance is 41.4km.
Fuel consumption=0
gasoline equivalent=2.5
distance=41.4km
Results and observation
1)Vehical cannot drive 45 km with FTP drive cycle, because in increase of cargo mass to 500kg,the vehical can only travells to 41.4 km.
2)If the original defaults condition is present with cargo mass at 136 kg. the vehical can travells upto 48.2km.
3)increase in weight leads to decrease in power of vehical.
Que 2)
steps:
1) open the advisor tool and click on the start button.
2)search '' EV_DEFAULT_IN'' file and open the file.
3)Now change the cargo mass to 500 kg and battery capacity to 20 modules.

4)click countinue to open simulation parameter.
5)search for ''CYC_FTD'' file from drive cycle list in advisor tool and open the file and run it.

6) run condition go to the result or output window.

Now if the battery capacity changes to 30 modules.
steps:
1) open the advisor tool and click on the start button.
2)search '' EV_DEFAULT_IN'' file and open the file.
3)Now change the cargo mass to 500 kg and battery capacity to 30 modules.

4)click countinue to open simulation parameter.
5)search for ''CYC_FTD'' file from drive cycle list in advisor tool and open the file and run it.

6) run condition go to the result or output window.
Rusult Condition
for battery capacity 20 modules
For number of cycle equils to 1,and vehical travel distance is 17.8km.
Fuel consumption=0
gasoline equivalent=2.4
distance=17.8km
For number of cycle equils to 2,and vehical travel distance is 35.5km.
Fuel consumption=0
gasoline equivalent=2.5
distance=35.5km
For number of cycle equils to 3,and vehical travel distance is 33.5km.
Fuel consumption=0
gasoline equivalent=2.5
distance=33.5 km
for battery capacity 30 modules
For number of cycle equils to 1,and vehical travel distance is 17.8km.
Fuel consumption=0
gasoline equivalent=2.4
distance=17.8km
For number of cycle equils to 2,and vehical travel distance is 35.5km.
Fuel consumption=0
gasoline equivalent=2.5
distance=35.5km
For number of cycle equils to 3,and vehical travel distance is 49.1km.
Fuel consumption=0
gasoline equivalent=2.5
distance=49.1km
observation:
1) for battery modules less than 25 ,vehical gets less distance travells.
2) for battery modules more than 25 ,vehical gets more distance travells.
3) Distance travells id directly depends on battery capacity.
Que 3)
steps:
1) open the advisor tool and click on the start button.
2)search '' PRIUS_JPN_DEFAULT_IN'' file and open the file.

3)after continue on next window change drive cycle to ''CYC_FTP''.
4)check for check for gradeability and grade option.

5) Check for all system enable and set speed to 55mph.

6)then run the tool and on result page we see the percentage gradeability.
7) By varring the speed in grade option menu we gate the different grade percentage.
SPEED V/S PERCENTAGE GRADEABILITY
| SR. NO | SPEED | % GRADEABILITY |
| 1 | 1 | 31.7 |
| 2 | 10 | 30.9 |
| 3 | 40 | 11.7 |
| 4 | 55 | 8.9 |
| 5 | 65 | 7.2 |
| 6 | 70 | 6.3 |
| 7 | 80 | 4.5 |
| 8 | 100 | 1.3 |
| 9 | 103 | 0 |
Observation:
1) If speed is less gradeability is more.
2) If speed is more gradeability is less.
2)
